How to factory reset a PS4 without turning it on using Safe Mode?
If your PlayStation 4 does not start up the way it is supposed to or it is stuck on a screen that will not move you can reset it to how it was when you first got it by using Safe Mode. Safe Mode is a way to get to the recovery options even when the PlayStation 4 system cannot get to the main screen.
First you need to make sure the PlayStation 4 is turned all the way off. If the PlayStation 4 seems like it is stuck, press and hold the power button for 7 to 10 seconds until it turns off completely. The light that shows the power is on should not be on.
Next,. Hold the power button again. You will hear the PlayStation 4 beep one time away and then beep again after about seven seconds. Let go of the power button after you hear the beep. This will make the PlayStation 4 start up in Safe Mode. Now connect your DualShock 4 controller to the PlayStation 4 using a cable then press the PS button on the controller to make it work with the PlayStation 4. The controller will not work if it is not connected with a cable in Safe Mode.
On the Safe Mode menu go down the list. Choose the option that says Initialize PlayStation 4. If you want to wipe everything from the PlayStation 4 choose the option that says Initialize PlayStation 4 (Full). This will erase all of the accounts saved games, downloaded games and settings, on the PlayStation 4. Make it like it was when you first got it. Choose the option you want and let the reset finish without stopping it.
When the reset is done the PlayStation 4 will start up again. Show the screen that you saw when you first got it. Remember that resetting the PlayStation 4 will delete all of the data so try to save any files before you do it if you can. Read More: https://datarecovee.com/how-to-factory-reset-ps4/
