Color Grading in DaVinci Resolve
Hey everyone, I’m Skyler.
I’ve been getting more into video editing lately, and I could really use some advice. I’m working on a short cinematic project, but I’m struggling with color grading; the footage looks flat no matter what LUT I try. I’m editing in DaVinci Resolve, using clips shot in log format on a Sony camera.
Does anyone have tips for getting that rich, cinematic tone without overdoing the contrast? Or maybe a good workflow for color correction before grading?
Would really appreciate any guidance or example settings that work for you!
